The Mid-Autumn Festival is here again but the celebration this year may not commensurate with the previous years and may be simpler or socially distanced due to the COVID-19 pandemic. However, the true spirit of the Mid- Autumn Festival will not be forgotten, and it will in no way dampen the spirit of kinship and unity between family and friends when our students took the chance to show their love that never fades away for their parents, be it near or far, as well as showing appreciation for the reunion moment they can have with their family.

The activity of making lanterns during the Character Building Activities online classes is aimed at cultivating creativity in the students while exposing them to the legend of Mid-Autumn Festival.

Students were advised to spend quality time with their parents and other family members to strengthen their bonds, which are now stronger than ever in the face of a fatal global pandemic. It is a family holiday, like Thanksgiving, when everyone can enjoy traditional moon cakes, play lanterns and admire the moon.

They were reminded not to ask the best from their parents, but to give the best to them as it is more blessed to give than to receive.

Happy Mid-Autumn Festival! 中秋节快乐!
