Practical work, especially in Science, plays a crucial role in making students independent and increasing their confidence in searching for the truth and concluding their findings.
The Standard 3 students recently learnt about manipulative skills during their Science lesson. They attempted to make magical balloons using ice water and hot water and to find out some truth about the balloons by following the steps. They observed the changes in the size of the balloons when the bottles were put in hot water and cold water.
From the results, they confidently concluded that the air in the bottle expanded when it was heated and contracted when it was cooled.
