The interesting life cycle of animals could whet children’s appetite for explanations through further investigation or experiments to seek out relevant information.
The Standard 2 students had fun making the models of the life cycle of the frog as they learned how frogs undergo an astonishing transformation. They learned that from extraordinary jelly-like eggs laid in water, frogs grow into long-tailed wriggling tadpoles before they finally grow powerful legs suitable for life on land, as adult frogs.
They also managed to find a satisfying explanation about why frogs are amphibians.
