Curiosity is an important element in ensuring children’s continuing interest in acquiring new knowledge and it is Rafflesian’s culture to encourage their students to take an investigative approach to learning.
The Standard 6 students have recently made dough using yeast and, to their surprise, found out that the dough with yeast expanded after twenty minutes. They then concluded that microorganisms are living things and breathe out carbon dioxide.
It was an interesting finding and at the same time they learnt different types of microorganisms found on Earth.
