During the recent CCA activities, the pupils were exposed to the traditional dances in Malaysia and they discovered the features that distinguish one from another.

They managed to make a video of a traditional Malay dance, ‘Chan Mali Chan’ and learned the cultural background of this widely known folk dance, other than the movements involved.

While enjoying the dance, they observed and explored the differences among the popular traditional dances in Malaysia and how each ethnic group’s dance form characterizes its culture. They learned that with the use of different colourful costumes, unique movements and mesmerising music, each dance has a story to tell.
