In this unit, Year 1 students learned all about the different structures they see in towns and cities around the world. They explored their locality to look at old and new buildings and use this as inspiration for Art.

As geographers, our Year 1 young explorers learned about how houses and structures differ from country to country and the purposes they serve.

As engineers, they explored the science behind the construction of structures by making models and testing materials in their fun and exciting Exit Point!

Our young environmentalists collected recycled materials and built a stable structure/building.

It was challenging, but they were always up for a challenge!
