The students were introduced to Electromagnetic Waves (EMW) in detail with specific attention to the light. They were also introduced to the mechanical waves in detail with specific attention to sound.
The students build a robot with two eyes using eye lamps. The students were asked to show a series of expressions using the eye lamps. They also emphasized the expression with the sound from the buzzer.
The students were introduced to Servo. Servo is a kind of motion output module, which is composed of motor, speed-reducing mechanism, micro control unit, etc. It can control the output of rotation angle according to external commands. The servo can be installed in the joint of the robot, thus driving the movement of the limbs and head of the robot.
The students were asked to create an automatic golf robot. They need to write a program to get the shaft to swing and summarise the movement characteristics of golf clubs by analysing the collected data (testing how far the ball can go with a certain angle and speed of the servo)
