Water's Wondrous Journey Through Stems

Our curious young scientists in Rafflesia International School Kajang embarked on a captivating experiment to unlock the mysteries of water movement in plant stems. They explored the task with excitement!

First, our students selected a vibrant celery stalk with leaves still attached. Then, they added a few drops of methylene blue into a beaker filled with water. Next, they dipped the celery stalk into this blue-hued potion and the magic began!

Finally, they cut the stalk and observed how every layer of the stalk had been stained with the dyed water, revealing how water travels within the plant. It was a fantastic journey of discovery!

Bravo, young scientists for a successful experiment!
