Our Year 3 students Technology task this week is to first plan a model house using cardboard box, which they built at home, prior to their Science task.

Once they have built the model house, they went to the Science Lab and decided where to place the electrical circuits inside the house and how they can turn them into working models. The students then used a door buzzer with a press switch, to mimic the doorbell for their model house.

From this experiment, Year 3 students learned how electricity works at home, how to use electricity wisely and safely, as well as how electricity flows through the wires between the switch, the light bulb and buzzer, and that’s how it works!
