Science Week: Closing Ceremony

Our week-long celebration of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics in Rafflesia International School, Kajang (KRIS) was successfully concluded in KRIS Lecture Theatre on Friday, 8th July 2022. The ceremony was attended by Mr Chai - member of the Board of Governors, KRIS Principal - Ms Lisa, teachers and students of Rafflesia International and Private Schools, Kajang.

The Science Week Closing Ceremony was graced by the presence of two distinguished guest speakers, i.e., Associate Professor Dr. Vannajan Sanghiran Lee, a Computational Chemist and acting as Trustee Board of Yayasan Science in Action, and Dr. Mohd Norowi Hamid, former Director of the Strategic Resources Research Center in Malaysian Agricultural Research and Development Institute (MARDI) and is now the Chairman of My Bee Saviour Association. Dr. Vanna has shed some light on career pathways in the science field through her dynamic talk delivered in the ceremony on 'A Career in Science' while Dr Mohd Norowi has given the exposure on the importance of bees to our curious students through his 'Sustain the Bees for World Sustainability' talk.

Besides the informative talk sessions, slots such as 'Glimpses of Science Week' and 'STEM Activities Highlight' have captured our young and talented, blooming scientists and engineers of KRIS having fun as they participated in various activities conducted throughout this week. Our KRIS Principal, Ms Lisa, has also expressed her gratitude towards our renowned guest speakers for being a part of our event and further extended her congratulatory note to all students and teachers of KRIS for the excellent execution of KRIS Science Week.

Moving forward, all good things must come to an end. Although our students had a boatload of fun this week, our five-day eventful Science Week has achieved its objective and has now come to an end. Rest assured that Rafflesia International School, Kajang will continue to host remarkable events as such in the future.

A job well done, Rafflesians!
