As students enter adolescence, the influence of their peers plays a dominant role in their lives. In response to this fact, we prepare our students to play a greater role in taking charge of their lives.
The Cambridge Secondary 1 curriculum is structured to strengthen and diversify each student’s knowledge and their fundamental skills, particularly across the core subjects – English, mathematics and science.
Cambridge Secondary 1 sets clear learning objectives and targets for the first three years of secondary education, allowing progress to be assessed by yearly Progression Tests and Cambridge Checkpoint in Year 9.
The Cambridge Checkpoint provides teachers with detailed information on students’ performance, which can be used to identify the specific strengths and weaknesses of each learner, and to personally evaluate their future needs. It also provides parents with valuable information so they can assist their child in choosing the right IGCSE subjects to work towards.
Subjects such as English literature, global connections, artificial intelligence, ICT, music, art, physical & health education, Mandarin and Malay are offered to students to provide a vital foundation for their essential growth.
