Cambridge Secondary 1

iconage1114-20aAs students enter adolescence, influences of their peers take dominance in their lives. In response to this fact, we prepare our students to play a greater part in taking charge of their life.

Formulated by the National Curriculum of England (NCE), the RIS Cambridge Secondary 1 curriculum is structured to strengthen and diversify each student’s knowledge and their fundamental skills, particularly across the core subjects – English, Mathematics and Science.

Cambridge Secondary 1 sets clear learning objectives and targets for the first three years of secondary education, allowing progress to be assessed by yearly Progression Tests and Cambridge Checkpoint in Year 9. These tests provide teachers with detailed performance information, which can be used to identify the specific strengths and weaknesses of each learner, and to personally evaluate their future needs.

Subjects such as History, Geography, ICT, Music, Art, Physical & Health Education and Mandarin are offered to students to provide a vital foundation for their essential growth.
